Theirs was a match made in heaven! In a grand wedding where North meets South, Pooja Singh and Angad Rao had tied the knot amidst their close families and dear friends. Shortly after the marriage, Pooja and Angad had moved into their new home in Pune. They had bought a house closer to the outskirts of Pune so that both their families living in Mumbai could always just drive down any time they wanted, and it was a good weekend getaway for their friends as well.

It had taken them almost a month to settle down in their new home. And the days had just flown by. With Karva Chauth just around the corner, Pooja was super excited to keep her first fast after marriage. As modern as she was in her outlook, she loved the typical North Indian traditions, of which one of them was the festival of Karva Chauth. A lot of plans were being made over call with her mother, as she discussed what all had to be made and kept ready for the ceremony. She missed being a part of her joint family house in South Mumbai where everyone got together for such occasions. There was a lot of food, festivities and laughter and fun. But she wanted to make this occasion special as it was her first one after marriage. Since her family members could not come all the way to Pune, she had invited Angad’s side of the family to come and experience a North Indian festival along with its food and celebration.

She had spent two days just getting the house spic and span and planning a full-fledged Punjabi menu for her South Indian inlaws and their close relatives. Their house in Pune was located in a developing area just off the highway. There were no grocery stores or vegetable vendors below her building, as was the case in Mumbai, where everything was just a hop, skip, and jump away. Online grocery delivery in Mumbai had also been so easy but this was a new city. Most of the neighboring buildings were under construction or newly constructed with families not yet moved in. Shops and medical stores were yet to be made. They would have to come to the main road for any groceries or vegetables, which was a good 15 minutes walk. And the store didn’t even stock up on any of the fancy ingredients that one would need for a special stylized menu.

Pooja was looking for the typical North Indian spice mix and some other vegetables with which she could make her special North Indian spread, but the shops near their house didn’t have them. Angad had resumed work so he used to be out from morning till evening. After he came home, going out looking for spices and ingredients was not such a good option because the traffic was far too much. While browsing on Google for grocery items, Pooja chanced upon LoveLocal, the online platform where you can get everything from groceries to stationery to medical supplies to vegetables. Everything at just a click.

With LoveLocal, Pooja could discover all the neighborhood deals and offers from where she could get all the North Indian ingredients and masalas. The quality of the products was the best and the unmatched service is what made it super convenient for Pooja.

The day of the party arrived. One wouldn’t know if the moon looked brighter that night or Pooja’s beautiful face. Glowing with loving warmth, she had left no stone unturned in making this Punjabi experience a one in a million for her South Indian family. Right from the time one entered their house, till the last person is left, there was a taste of the North in everything – from décor to ambiance to the yummy food.

At the end of the day, the result was a happy group of in-laws who couldn’t stop praising the delicious spread of food that Pooja had made with so much love. And Pooja was super grateful to LoveLocal for coming to her rescue. LoveLocal has been Pooja’s ‘go-to’ for everything thereafter.
