His father is a businessman as well as a former playwriter.
He started his school education at Southfield Primary School where he studied from 1992 to 1998. Later he moved with his family to Worcestershire and there, he took admission to Chantry High School and studied there till 2003.

Kit wanted to become a journalist. While studying drama, He got his first role in the National Theatre’s adaptation of War Horse in 2008, which made him popular.
