With 16 seasons, starting in November 2006 and ending in February 2023 and 1 spin-off season, in January 2015, Bigg Boss is one of the most popular TV shows among the Indian people.
Different seasons of Big Boss were hosted by different hosts, the most popular being Salman Khan, who has hosted 13 complete seasons till now. 1 season he joined in between, so numerically, he has hosted 13.5 seasons. The spin-off season (Halla Bol) was hosted by Farah Khan.
The program follows the show “Big Brother” concept, in which a specific number of contestants are kept locked in a house, being isolated from the outer world. Then follows their struggle for survival in the house and elimination of the respective contestants by voting against each other, due to their personal differences among themselves.
