Family and Education
Her father has worked as an office superintendent at the Cooch Behar Zila Parishad and her mother was a theater artist.
Mouni completed her school education from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Baburhat, Cooch Behar and later went to Delhi to complete her graduation from Miranda House in Delhi in English literature. Later on, she studied Mass Communication at Jamia Milia Islamia.
But due to her interest in films, she left her studies and went to Mumbai to try her luck and started working as a background dancer in 2004.
She tied the wedding knot with her long-time boyfriend Suraj Nambiar in Goa on 27 January 2022.
