Career
Salman has spent more than 35 years in the film industry. He started his career with a supporting role in BIWI HO TO AISI in 1988. He got his first movie in a leading role in 1989, MAINE PYAR KIYA, which transformed his career his entire life. He kept on working with several production houses. His most loved and famous movies were HUM AAPKE HAIN KAUN (1994), KARAN ARJUN (1995), BIWI NO. 1 (1999), HUM SAATH SAATH HAIN (1999), to name a few.
In the early 2000s, his Bollywood career saw a decline, but he came out strong of it and in 2010, DABANGG was released which again transformed his image. He continued doing well in the coming years and give successful hits like READY (2011), EK THA TIGER (2012), KICK (2014), SULTAN (2016), and TIGER ZINDA HAI (2017).
Salman was also the host of the popular series Big Boss from Season 4 2010-11 onwards, replacing Amitabh Bachchan. In Big Boss Season 13 Siddharth Shukla was the winner.
On the occasion of Eid 2020, Salman launched hand sanitizers under his latest business venture name, FRSH. Although he decided to launch the deodorants first, due to the ongoing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched the sanitizers first. Controversies
Salman Khan was and is still surrounded by the hit-and-run case controversy of 28th September 2002, in which he drove his car on people sleeping on the pavements and hit a bakery.
He was also allegedly involved in the Blackbuck Hunting case in 1998 during the shooting of his movie HUM SAATH SAATH HAIN in Jodhpur. He was also jailed for the same in 2007.
