Taapsee completed her school education from Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi and later got graduated in Computer Science Engineering from Guru Teg Bahadur Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
While working as software engineer, she gave audition for talent show “Get Gorgeous” and became full time model thereafter.
She is a trained Kathak dancer as well and has been worked as an instructor at Shaimak Davar training.

Career
She made her debut in Telugu film industry with “Jhummandi Naadam” in 2010, and made her debut in Tamil films in 2011 with “Aadukulam” respectively, which also won 6 awards.
Later she made her debut in Hindi film industry in 2013 with “Chashme Baaddoor”.
Her major success was “Pink” released in 2016 which was a commercial success worldwide, and she also won many awards for her performance. Her successive releases, The Ghazi Attack, Running Shaadi and Judwaa 2 made her a successful actress.
